Why you should vote for me!
After years of proven public service, I find myself wanting to continue to contribute to the quality of life in Collier County. I believe three major issues need to be addressed in any Consolidation Plan and by the individual Fire Districts, until consolidated, to strategically make them more efficient and fully responsive to the residents they serve. I realize I'm seeking Seat 5 occupied by a long-term incumbent who has already served 8 years as a Fire Commissioner since completing his firefighter career. My opponent has the support of the North Naples Firefighter's Union, but I fully support the firefighters and will make sure they are safe and have what they need to do their job. However, because I AM NOT NOW NOR HAVE EVER BEEN A MEMBER OF THE UNION, I am in the best position to represent the full interests of the taxpayers. There are many positives about the current operations and the staff. Nevertheless, changes are needed and I have never shied away from an issue. I have been able to provide the leadership that has resulted in the full and enthusiastic support of my employees. When I left the county, I was honored and humbled by the actions of my staff and the Commission to name the Transportation Building after me. I am not seeking such honors in this effort, but I do plan on helping the North Naples Fire Control & Rescue District communicate with the taxpayers and realize the efficiencies the public has demanded and should expect.
